If you’d like to get a little bit of nostalgia for Christmas this
year and you own a Nintendo Wii U, you’ll be able to purchase/download
the classic Nintendo game Duck Hunt through the Wii virtual
console. Techbeat reported some months ago that the classic game would
be rereleased, but a specific date wasn’t available at the time –
thankfully it is now. It’s all set to be released on Christmas day.
While we do know the date, we don’t yet know the exact price of one of the original shoot-em-ups. The only downside is that you’ll have to use the Wii controller instead of the old-school orange and white Nintendo gun (the Zapper).
If you weren’t lucky enough to play the original Duck Hunt game on the original Nintendo, you don’t know what you missed out on. It’s the first video game I can ever remember playing, and as such, it will always hold a special place in my gaming memories. Who doesn’t like shooting digital pixelated ducks as they fly across the screen?
